Marion, OH – The steps of Heritage Hall recently came alive with excitement as community leaders and residents gathered to launch America 250 Marion. Following a Marion Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting and photo opportunity at the historic site, guests moved inside Heritage Hall — home of the Marion County Historical Society and Wyandot Popcorn Museum — for celebratory remarks.
America 250 Marion co-chairs Kate McCleese of the Marion Community Foundation and Bev Ford of the Marion Area Convention and Visitors Bureau announced the release of Trails, Tales & Treasures, a countywide scavenger-hunt-style experience. Through a free mobile app available in the Apple and Google Play stores — or in print at the Visitor Center, 198 West Center Street — participants can explore Marion County’s history one trail at a time. New trails will launch monthly, and participants are entered to win raffle prizes.
Mayor Bill Collins shared a joint proclamation of support from city and county leaders, and State Representative Tracy Richardson provided a formal commendation.

Community members are encouraged to follow ongoing daily, weekly, and monthly content from Marion County Historical Society, Marion Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, and MarionMade!, and to watch for upcoming anchor events on the community calendar at visitmarionohio.com/calendar.
