Berwick Pizza and Subs

At Berwick Pizza and Subs, fresh dough is made daily and topped generously before baking in traditional stone deck ovens for pizza just the way customers like it. The menu goes beyond pizza with a wide selection of subs, sandwiches, and hearty salads made with fresh, chopped ingredients and on-site ground cheese, plus homemade dressings. 2016 marked the launch of Berwick Pizza and Subs’ “Pizza of the Month”, with the business nearing its 100th unique creation. Past tasty creations include Raise Some Cane, collaborations with local bakery Andrew’s Pastries donuts, General Tso’s and Little Debbie varieties, including Christmas Tree Cake. Guests can also enjoy oven-baked fries, nachos, and wings to round out the meal.

A little extra info:
The Name: Green Camp was originally known as Berwick in the early 1800s and served as the head of navigation on the Scioto River. In 1875, the village was incorporated as Green Camp, and the post office, established in 1854, adopted the same name.
The name “Green Camp” traces back to the War of 1812, when Captain Daniel Green and American soldiers camped near the Scioto River just north of town. For more than 40 years, Berwick Pizza has helped keep the story of the village’s unique name alive.
The BANK-quet Room: The bank next to the Berwick served the community for more than 100 years before closing in 2013 and being transformed into additional dining space. Many historic details remain, including the unique chance to dine inside the original vault. Guests can still see where the teller counter once stood, along with original cameras, alarms, and the night deposit box.
The building was remodeled in the mid-1950s, with framed photos on display and a hand-painted vault entrance. An eagle that once sat atop the vault was removed when the ceiling was lowered and later gifted back by a former employee.
Preserving this history while creating new memories makes the space truly special.
