America 250 Marion Ribbon Cutting to Launch Year-Long Celebration

Marion, OH — The north-facing steps of Heritage Hall have long served as a backdrop for milestone moments in Marion’s history. On Monday, January 12, 2026, they will once again take center stage as the community officially launches the America 250 Marion year-long celebration.

At 12:00 p.m., local and state officials, America 250 Marion committee members, and community partners will gather for a ceremonial ribbon cutting and commemorative photo outside Heritage Hall, 169 E. Church St., downtown Marion. The event marks the start of a year dedicated to honoring America’s 250th anniversary while celebrating Marion’s unique past, present, and future.

Following the outdoor ceremony, guests are invited inside to the lower-level auditorium for proclamations from state and local leaders, remarks from America 250 Marion co-chairs, and light refreshments.

The public is encouraged to attend and be part of this historic kickoff as Marion begins a year of reflection, pride, and community celebration.
