Whet/stone: Poetry & Painting from the Olentangy

Join us on Sunday, April 7th from 2-4PM at Terradise Nature Center along the beautiful Whetstone (Olentangy) River outside of Caledonia for the first event of our 2024 Terradise Environmental Arts’ Residency, with our March 2024 Artists-in-Residence Kati Henning — working in large-format painting — & Bobbi Kitten — working in poetry, creative writing, & performance!

Across this two-hour public event, you’ll hear from Kati & Bobbi on their processes during their March 2024 residency at Terradise Nature Center with artists’ talk from Kati Henning featuring her residency painting, STONE; & a performance by Bobbi Kitten of her brand-new residency poem project, “Stone-Pressed Witch.”

Join us to learn from these two amazing Marion County contemporary artists about their process, their explorations & experiments while in-residence with us at Terradise, & for a window into their unique approaches to each of their respective genres!

This event is free & open to the public, & suitable for 13+. No RSVP required, just show up! This event will be held outside at Terradise Nature Center rain or shine, so please plan accordingly.

Find us at 1536 Whetstone River Road North || Caledonia, Ohio || 43314 — please park in the prairie parking lot across the street. Dropoff or parking for those with mobility needs is available at the lower parking lot.

IMPORTANT LOCATION NOTE: Please note that Terradise Nature Center (an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit nature center) is different from the Terradise Nature Preserve (a nature preserve managed by Marion County Parks District). While the two locations are across the river from each other as the crow flies & were both a part of the original land known as Terradise, punching “Terradise Nature Preserve” into your GPS will leave you on the other side of the river off Marion-Williamsport Road. Our event is being hosted at Terradise Nature Center at 1536 Whetstone River Road North: the location with the 1950s ranch house.
