Description: Discover the fascinating world of moths during this 1-hour Adult Lifelong Learning course led by naturalist and teacher Chelsea Gottfried. The program will explore the beauty and importance of moths as pollinators and as an essential food source for birds, bats, and other wildlife. Through a photographic journey, participants will learn which native plants are most appealing to moths and how “moth gardening” can help support local ecosystems. Gottfried is an avid native plant gardener and entomologist whose areas of expertise include moths, bees, dragonflies, and damselflies. Registration and payment are required; stop by the Marion Public Library main desk for more information.
