Eclipse Family Fun – On the Road!
March 2 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
FreeThis Family Fun event combines a presentation about eclipses and the science of space, an interactive story, and a visit with our big blue owl, Swoop! With the help of students from the Aerospace Engineering and Biomedical Engineering programs of OSU, we’ll give a large-scale model of eclipses, followed by hands-on activities to explain the first concepts of space, moon phases, and gravitational pull.
Have a question about the eclipse? Use the special “Ask a Scientist!” mailbox in the library kids area – we’ll pick questions to answer at our two off-site programs!
For more information on the upcoming eclipse, and library programs, check out our website at: https://www.marionlibrary.org/index.php/content/solar-eclipse-information
