The Bronze Plaque Project

In 2019, Downtown Marion, Inc. began a mission to document and preserve the historic structures of downtown Marion, Ohio. As a result of this effort, in 2022, 109 downtown buildings were added to the National Register of Historic Places. Many of these buildings housed businesses that supported major manufacturing companies. These industrial businesses and their associated supporting companies were vital in building America’s infrastructure during the 19th and 20th centuries.
