Downtown Marion, Inc. is looking for clubs, individuals, organizations, and businesses to join in on a adopt a flower bed contest! We currently have 28 flower beds of various shapes and sizes. Planting is May 8th – 14th 2023. Contest winners will be announced on July 8th, 2023. Care and maintenance expectations for adopted beds: Planting, pruning, watering, weeding. The City of Marion is providing mulch, it will be located in City Parking Lot A on the corner of Prospect and Church. Wheelbarrows are available during planting week. We've received a batch of small sample balls of the newest yarns from Berroco, and we’ll be working our way through knitting or crocheting with them together. Spruce and Sparrow is bringing back it’s flower bouquet bar just in time for Mother’s Day! Flowers are provided by Frontier Farm, they have been providing Spruce and Sparrow with fresh flower bouquets that are hand picked locally in Waldo. You will choose 5 focal flowers along with about 10 secondary stems and foliage to make your own bouquet. You will choose a vase to put your bouquet in and get some flower food to take home.
