Downtown Marion, Inc. is looking for clubs, individuals, organizations, and businesses to join in on a adopt a flower bed contest! We currently have 28 flower beds of various shapes and sizes. Planting is May 8th – 14th 2023. Contest winners will be announced on July 8th, 2023. Care and maintenance expectations for adopted beds: Planting, pruning, watering, weeding. The City of Marion is providing mulch, it will be located in City Parking Lot A on the corner of Prospect and Church. Wheelbarrows are available during planting week. Visit with us to get a glimpse of Women's History in this beautiful Colonial Revival Home built in 1903. The property is on the National Park Service Historic Registry and is a part of the Ohio Historical Marker Program. The home and the archives, dating to 1895, tell the story of the impact of Women in Marion County and of the generosity of Shauck and Ida Barlow.
