Sunset Serenade at The Ohio State University Marion campus

The Sunset Serenade concert on the campus is a Five Night’s Extra event.

The Palace Theatre Big Band is dedicated to helping you relive the fun of tunes from swing-era musicians such as
Glenn Miller, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Stan Kenton, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and many more.

Whether you’re dancing, singing, humming along or just remembering the golden days of swing, you will
absolutely love being “stuck in the oldies” with The Palace Theatre Big Band. Band members include a
golf course superintendent, a contractor, a funeral director, three engineers. and seven music teachers!
The band is led by George Schram.

John Garnes and Ann Schertzer are the featured vocalists for this special community concert event.

The band will be set up near the steps leading to the pond in front of the Library Classroom Building
on campus. In the event of rain, the concert will be moved to Morrill Hall Auditorium.
