Description: Marion Public Library will host the 6th ReadLocal Author Fair on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11 am-2 pm.  With over 30 Ohio-based authors participating, the event is a unique opportunity for readers to engage with authors and to highlight the talent in our own backyard. It serves as an excellent networking opportunity for aspiring writers to connect with others who share their passion.

The 2026 ReadLocal Author Fair will be headlined by southern Ohio author Wes Molebash. Molebash is the author and illustrator of the Travis Daventhorpe graphic novel series for middle-grade readers. Kirkus described the series as “brimming with action” and “bursting with a ferociously delightful vibrancy, likable characters, swift pacing, fun pop-culture nods, an appealing gaming slant, and vibrant full-color illustrations.” In addition to writing and illustrating books, Wes has done freelance work for Target, The Ohio State University, and PBS Kids. Wes also has taught numerous workshops for schools and community organizations, helping others gain the skills to write and illustrate their own stories.

Molebash will deliver his keynote presentation at 11 am to kick off the event. He will share his experience getting his work published, along with the successes, trials, and tribulations of being an author. Thanks to a generous donation by the Marion Noon Kiwanis, copies of Molebash’s newest book, Travis Daventhorpe Gets a Life¸ will be given out for free to all kids who attend the ReadLocal Author Fair while supplies last.
