Joshua Simpkins grew up in Marion, Ohio. He studied at the Ohio State University, receiving a BA in English in 1999 and a master’s degree in education in 2000. He currently resides with his wife and small daughter in Heiligenhaus, Germany, where he works as an English instructor.
