14th Annual Dinner with the Presidents

Guests will dine on presidential favorites and discuss life in the White House with former Presidents.
The Marion County Historical Society presents the 14th Annual Dinner with the Presidents (and other special guests). Highlights include a buffet dinner of the featured Presidents’ favorite foods taken from the White House Cookbook. Following will be presentations from the featured Presidents.
Speaking Presidents:
Harriet Rebecca Lane – Niece of 15th President James Buchanan – Served as White House Hostess.
Benjamin Harrison – 23rd President
Herbert Hoover – 31st President
Harry S. Truman – 33rd President
Non-Speaking Presidents:
James Madison – 4th President
Martin Van Buren – 8th President
Andrew Johnson – 17th President
Ulysses S. Grant – 18th President
Chester A. Arthur – 21st President
Theodore Roosevelt – 26th President
Warren G. Harding – 29th President
Lou Henry Hoover – 31st Presidential First Lady
Master of Ceremonies:
Colonel Edmund W. Starling – White House Secret Service Agent – 1914 to 1943 Serving Woodrow Wilson, Warren G. Harding, Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover, and Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Special Guest Speaker:
Mrs. Mary Ellen Withrow- 40th Treasurer of the United States – March 1, 1994 thru January 20, 2001
