You Have The Right To Remain Dead @ Marion Palace Theatre
Apr 6 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Mystery. Murder. And, lots of surprises and laughs abound in the Palace’s annual Dinner Theatre held in the May Pavilion.

Following a catered buffet dinner, “YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN DEAD” narrator, Harnell Chesterton, will take the audience to visit a small community theatre group staging a play set in the Deep South….and the scene of the crime. Here you’ll meet Fat Daddy, a rich but vindictive southern gentleman with an equally conniving and scheming family: Sweet Mama, Daddy’s pandering wife; Hyacinth, the daughter who’s always cleaning the family firearms; Earl the worm and his overly amorous wife, Savannah; and Clete, the sullen handyman who, for some reason, is in the will? But, did a member of the cast commit the murder—or did someone in the audience?

Twists, turns and a fast-paced dialogue will keep the audience guessing “whodunnit” until the last clue is dropped.

Directed by Margaret Bowman. Reserved Seating $40.

Open Mic Nite in The May Pavilion @ Marion Palace Theatre
Apr 13 @ 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Have a hidden talent you’re just aching to reveal – a master magician waiting to pull a rabbit out of your hat?

Maybe you’ve recently written a song that just needs an audience ear, or you’ve conquered a musical instrument and you’re ready for the stage.
On the other hand, perhaps it’s no secret at all that you’re loaded with talent and love to sing, dance, juggle, or recite poetry.

If you answered yes, then we invite you to step onto the stage and into the spotlight for this season’s open mic nights. We’d love to experience your #MarionMade talent!

And with all that great talent on stage, we’ll need an audience! So, plan to join us for some hometown entertainment by previously undiscovered performers or those who’ve already made a name for themselves.

For your spot on the open mic roster, be sure to sign up in advance at the box office.

Spectator Admission: $5
Cash bar available. Food will be available for purchase. Please order in advance (BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders, Firehouse Baked Beans, Slaw).
